Let's start again!!

Okay, so it has been brought to my attention (at the back of my mind, I already knew!) that I am rubbish at blogging!! I suppose the fact that this is the first post in nearly 2 years fails to allow me to disagree! Truth is, I never really know what to write, I tend to notice a general pattern to my posts.....blah blah blah blah. Anyone still reading? Are you even still awake?

Seriously though, so much has changed over the past couple of years. Our range of shapes and plaques has vastly expanded, we have also introduced other products such as handmade greetings cards to our shop. We have completely changed our website design - we decided to go for a more bright and colourful look, more fun and loud, and we have received really positive feedback on the changes we have made.

We also continue to be as busy as ever, we have had a fantastic summer and have enjoyed designing some unique gifts for our lovely customers. We have been given a range of new ideas and requests also, which we are excited about sharing with you in the not so distant future. Remember, if you can't see what you want then please just ask and we will always try and work something out for you.

Whilst the kids are heading back to school, we are now working on our new Christmas collection which will be available this month. I cannot wait to showcase some of our new designs....all of which can be completely personalised of course, as it wouldn't be us if you couldn't personalise your gifts!!

Well, that's where we are at for now. That just leaves me to say a huge thank you as always to our customers and our continued support. I didn't want to ramble on for too long as it is way past my bedtime.

Christmas is upon us!

Hello everyone,

Well what a busy few months we have had here at Personalised Signs. Must thank everyone whop has made it all possible lately, your support and custom is much appreciated. 

This is our first Christmas here at Personalised Signs and are very excited about the new festive products we have coming your way. We have put a few items on the website already and have much more coming. Just worried we are running out of time as it is just creeping up  so quickly.

As with all our products we have a wide range of finish Christmas plaques but also the Create your Own plaques which are hugely popular. We have many different shaped wooden blanks allowing you to create your own Christmas decorations and Christmas gifts. We have Christmas trees, stockings, baubles, bells, Reindeers and much more so feel free to have browse. Don't forget that they are all blank allowing you to choose your own text whether it be someone's name or a special message such as 'Baby's 1st Christmas'. We have handmade wooden gift tags too which will add a lovely finishing touch for your Christmas presents.

Hoping to be attending Christmas fairs in the Yorkshire area this year - we may have left it a bit late but we are in talks with a few venues so will keep you all updated when we have some dates finalised.

Hi Everyone!!

Another busy few weeks it has been! Word about us seems to be spreading more as we have had a lot of interest in recent weeks for our products which I am very happy about. We have introduced a lot more products over the past few weeks which have gone down very well and have received great feedback, especially our new shape plaques, the cow in particular. More recently we have been getting prepared for our first ever Craft Fair which is being held in St. Peter's Church Hall, Hale, Cheshire on 13th May 2012 which we are very excited about, even if I am a little nervous. It is a vintage style craft fair and we will be selling a range of wooden plaques with the option for ordering for personalisation. If anyone lives close by, please come and say hi and offer your support.
 On this post are a few pictures of some plaques we have recently added to our site. We have added new shapes to our range including the cow shape, the square, gingerbread man and also different shaped hearts. We felt that this offers a much wide range for our customers.

Hi guys,
Well it has been a mad couple of weeks here at Personalised Signs, I am very please with how things are shaping. I have received quite a few orders already and never would have guessed how popular my Mother's Day range would be, so thank you all for your support.
I have spent the past few weeks working on a new range, as well as the wooden plaques which I have used to do pyrography, I have also been experimenting with colour, and painting my plaques and decorating them with acrylic pens. They can all be personalised in the same way but it just makes them a little prettier for those who want coloured plaques. Due to the chemicals in the paint, I am unable to do the pyrography onto the painted plaques:

I think that this range will be ideal for children's bedrooms, creating door hangers, wall hangers for children's rooms. Do let me know what you think about the coloured range, as I say, I am just experimenting at the moment to see what I can do and to see how popular the range is                                                                                                              

Also looking into starting some craft fairs in the near future too now that Spring is coming. If anyone in the South Yorkshire area is aware of any upcoming fairs then do let me know.

Mother's Day is coming!

Mother's Day is coming - 18th March and what better way to show your Mum how much you love her than sending her something personal. Over the next few days I will be busy designing a new range of products specially designed for Mother's Day. I will be producing gifts using pyrography (wood burning) where you can choose your own message and also I will be producing a new colour range, where the plaques will be painted, with a message written on.

Like all my products, your can choose your own text and you can choose your own embellishments. Have a browse through our site and if you see another embellishment you would rather have then that is fine.

Things are going well at the moment. The website has been set up for a couple of weeks now and have had my first few orders which I am really happy about. Well it's been a long journey so far, never realised how difficult and time consuming it is to set up a website - but here we are! I have spent quite some time getting a portfolio of work together to start the business, which was initially going to be set up for an ebay business. I simply fell in love with what I was doing and decided to give the website a go!

Here at Personalised Signs we offer a large variety of personalised gifts that really do cater for everyone - men, women, children and even pets! We also offer a range of products for celebratory occasions too such as weddings, christenings and anniversaries - the wooden spoon gifts are popular for these occasions:

The special thing about Personalised Signs is that everything we sell can be customised to meet your own needs. The text on every item, allowing you to personalise your gift with someone's name or to add a special message for someone. All our products are hand crafted and made to order. We use two types of wood; birch plywood and sycamore, and all text is engraved using the art of pyrography (the art of burning wood). For decorative purposes and to make it extra special, we add beautiful embellishments to the gift.
